The month of May is ALS Awareness month, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS OR, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
This month the Cloud9 Initiative is showing our support for this cause, while there is not yet a cure for ALS great strides have been made in the community for ALS through the association, from more than doubling federal funding for the research to speeding up the discovery of new treatments to better prolong the effects and treatments for ALS, and better healthcare opportunities for those who have to live with it. While ALS is a terminal disease each year leaps and bounds are made to better treat and someday cure ALS, and that is why Cloud9 is proud to support the ALS Association for the month of May.
